"Jump off the cliff and learn how to build wings on the way down."
―Ray Bradbury
Charlene L. Edge grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in a Roman Catholic family. In college, evangelical students recruited her into a Bible-based cult, The Way International™. She gave it the next seventeen years of her life, escaping in 1987. Afterwards, she earned a B.A. in English Literature from Rollins College, graduating summa cum laude in 1994, and worked for more than a decade in the software industry. Charlene lives in Florida with her husband, Dr. Hoyt L. Edge, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Rollins College.
