And now for something completely different. I’m happy to offer you a few minutes of escape to the beauty of Cocoa Beach, Florida, where I recently went for soothing long walks on the sand, and sea, shell, and star gazing. Luckily, the weather was perfect.
Beach get-away
Why the beach? It restores me. I grew up on the beaches of The Delmarva Peninsula. That is the nickname for the land formation between the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay. The peninsula is divided into bits of land from Delaware at the top, Maryland in the middle (where I was raised), and Virginia. Anytime I can get near a beach, I go!
Hope you enjoy this little escape hatch to peacefulness in your day!
All photos were taken by your writer on the wing, Charlene Edge.
BTW, Cape Canaveral is close by. In one photo with birds, you can see parts of its buildings in the distance.
