Why no more blog here?
First, I assure you that I’m a grateful blogger. Your support, interest, and comments here on the blog have been a lovely gift. But after writing more than 400 posts spanning eleven years, I want to retire this blog. Included in this retirement is my whole website, https://charleneedge.com, designed by my friend, the multi-talented Mary Ann de Stefano.
When’s Charlene’s final blog post?
September 1st. That’s a Tuesday. Don’t miss it. I think you’ll get a kick out of it.
If no more website, where is author info about Charlene?

Does Charlene have another blog somewhere?

After you click that link, you’ll see some info about me and two links that take you to my already-existing FREE blogs. There are two of them.
- One is “Charlene Edge Speaks about The Way International.™ There I also write about Undertow, Christian fundamentalism, the subject of cults, and related topics. I’ve published more than 40 posts there already.

Can I “subscribe to” Charlene on Blogger?
No.
Can I “follow Charlene” on Blogger?
Yes. Using a Gmail account, you can sign up to “Follow” those two blogs. That’s different from Subscribing. When you “Follow” you just get a notification that I’ve placed new material on those blogs. You DO NOT get emails with a preview showing a featured photo and some content.
Why doesn’t Charlene switch to Substack?
It was more convenient for me to move to Blogger. I have a long history there with writing two very extensive travel blogs—one about a trip with my husband, Hoyt, to Turkey in 2011; the other about our tour of Peru, also in 2011. I took those down, though, when I added the two new ones about The Way and about the writing life.
Besides, I just seem to like doing something different. Me thinks that may have something to do with having once been “swallowed alive by a cult” (as my friend and fellow author, Karl Kahler, put it) and clawing my way out of it. Is Charlene on any social media?
No, I’m a drop-out. But you can find me and my work on Goodreads. I may go back to Facebook someday, but we broke up in 2019, and I think we’ve both been happier.
That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. 🙂
