FINAL POST: Leave Em Laughin’ When Ya Go

This is four-year-old Charlene Lamy (me) having fun swinging in her backyard in Maryland. She’s a real inspiration to me today! Photo by her mother, the late Anne Lamy. 1956.

Hi there subscribers! Hope you’re doing well. Welcome to blastoff today with my final post on this almost-never-ending blog—a total of 409 posts spanning nearly 12 years. My parting gift? The show below. But first…

Writing to you has been fun, humbling, and challenging-in-a-good-way for me. Thank you for your interest in what I write, for buying my books, for sharing your responses in the Comments section. I hope I brought you some thought-provoking content, a little entertainment, and lots of joy.

Remember, official info about me and my books remains at The Authors Guild.

Leave Em Laughin’ When Ya Go

Maybe you’ve heard the old advice for comedians and public speakers, “Leave them laughing when you go.”

My attempt to do that is by offering three performances that put me in a happy place. Enjoy!

The Temptations and Diana Ross & The Supremes “Hits Medley” on The Ed Sullivan Show

The Spanish Inquisition | Monty Python (Official Sketch)

Roseanne Roseannadanna on King Tut – SNL – YouTube

One blog focuses on the fundamentalist cult, The Way International. The other is about the Writing Life.

Bye-bye

Be assured I wish you well in all your endeavors and much peace in your life.

    Dear Charlene,

What can I say? Am I sorry? Not for your decision to close your blog. Not for your possible move toward a new path on your journey.

But maybe because I can’t check in with you on your blog anymore.

    My best wishes always,

    Linda
