Ireland: For the Love of Music

Dingle
Dingle, Ireland

Ireland — jade green hills, fierce winds, and neighborhood pubs — is alive with the sound of Gaelic music and modern music, too. Last May my husband, Hoyt, and I visited all sorts of pubs to hear the tunes, tap our toes, and lift a pint, bar-hopping around Dublin, Galway, Doolin, Dingle, Galway, Kilkenny, and more. This post is dedicated to my daughter who has been waiting to see these snapshots.

As a memento, we bought a CD called Essential Irish Music Collection (20 tunes) marketed and distributed by Dophin Traders Ltd., The Music Plant, in Dublin, Ireland. Visit: Irish Music CD.

Love listening to that CD in my writing room here at home in the U.S. The melodies take me back to the rambling town streets and fiddle playing folks of the Green Isle.

See you next time!

Dingle, Ireland. Shout-out to Alice Peck!
